Readings: 1 Thes 3:7‑13 / Mt 24:42‑51
Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Thursdays to the Mystery of the Eucharist. Today we pray:
That the Eucharist always be the sun and center of our lives, we pray.
That all who hunger be given the food to sustain their lives and spirits, we pray.
That we may grow in appreciation and practice of our vocation as apostles, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Spirit of the Annunciation, Decatur, AL, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Silvia Arias, MSBT, 2019, we pray.
Reading: Now that we think about it, we do remember some things in which we probably were a little self‑centered. When we examined our friends, however, we found that the comparison favored us very much. We were more charitable a great deal more religious than our friends. Maybe he has us mixed up with somebody else; in fact we do know somebody that this criticism would fit excellently. (MCM, p. 248)
