Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Wednesdays to St. Joseph and St. Vincent de Paul. Today we pray:
That we deepen our understanding and love of Father Judge and our Vincentian heritage, we pray.
That the Holy Spirit may gift zealous women and men with vocations to the Missionary Cenacle, we pray.
That we show our gratitude for material blessings by frugality and care, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Inmaculada Concepción de María (Candidate Cenacle), Michoacán, México, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Ancilla Domini Lynch, MSBT, 1974; Mary Brennan, MCA, 1988; Fr. Athanasius Goode, ST, 1996; Sr. Eileen Barling, MSBT, 2003, we pray.
Reading: Jesus could truly say, "The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head.” (Mt. 8:20) Isn't that startling. He who is the center of the universe, its life, He had not where to lay His head. Let us remember that, my dear children, when at times we just get a little foolish, when we become exacting, when we think we must have this or that. He had not six feet of earth wherein to be laid.
