Readings: Jgs 2:11‑19 / Mt 19:16‑22
Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Mondays to the Mystery of the Holy Spirit. Today we pray:
For a greater devotion to the Holy Spirit, the active presence and power of God in our lives and in the world, we pray.
That God soften the hearts and enlighten the minds of those who seek to eradicate faith or bring harm to people of peace, we pray.
For the wellbeing of the women, children, and men whom we serve and those who serve with us, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Light of Christ, Tallahassee, FL, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Olivia Montejano, MSBT we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Florence Pitts, MSBT, 1930; Kenneth Judge, MCA, 1979, we pray.
Reading: This is the idea of Jesus in giving us this Gospel: first of all to call our attention to what a damnable thing pride is. Pride damns even the just and the good. Lucifer was driven out of Heaven. The Pharisee asked nothing for himself. He was self‑sufficient, proud. He was simply enchanted with himself‑and our Lord condemned him. (MCM, p.239)
