2025-08-20

Readings: Jgs 9:6‑15 / Mt 20:1‑16

Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Wednesdays to St. Joseph and St. Vincent de Paul. Today we pray:

That we deepen our understanding and love of Father Judge and our Vincentian heritage, we pray.

That the Holy Spirit may gift zealous women and men with vocations to the Missionary Cenacle, we pray.

That we show our gratitude for material blessings by frugality and care, we pray.

For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Manantial de Agua Viva, Quincy, FL, we pray.

For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.

For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Dick Colgan, MCA, 1944; Sr. Margaret Marie Haughey, MSBT, 1952; Sr. Mary David Heffernan, MSBT, 1975; Sr. M. Cristina González, MSBT, 1990; María L. Hernández, MCA, 2000, we pray.

Reading: Pride, self‑sufficiency, or attempting by natural means to reach a supernatural end, or false ideas of self‑reliance in peril and temptation, have no place in spiritual childhood. Quite the opposite, spiritual childhood flowers in a lively faith in God, in a consideration of his goodness and love and mercy. (MCM, p. 241)
