Readings: Jgs 13:2‑7,24‑25a / Lk 1:5‑25
Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Fridays to the Mystery of the Passion and Death of the Lord. Today we pray:
That the suffering and death of Jesus inspire us to alleviate the suffering of others, we pray.
That our collaborators in mission may enter into and live our Cenacle spirit, we pray.
That the hearts of those considered enemies may be softened and our own hearts softened toward them, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Sagrada Familia, New York, NY, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Mary Hilda Johnston, MSBT, 1983, we pray.
Reading: Come right down to some specific work of self‑control, self‑renunciation, detachment‑an act that is going to be contrary to the spirit of the world. Do something the performance of which will mark off for you another chapter of progress in the spiritual life. (MCM, p. 21)
