Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate Fridays to the Mystery of the Passion and Death of the Lord. Today we pray:
That the sufferings of Jesus may be a source of strength to all who are ill, we pray.
That our experiences make us sensitive to the sufferings of others, we pray.
That weekend travelers arrive at their destinations safely and return safe, rested, and renewed, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Inmaculada Concepción de María (Candidate Cenacle), Michoacán, México, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Sr. Loyola Danahy, MSBT, 1972; Sr. Grace Anthony Casino, MSBT, 1995; Sr. Betty Anne Meade, MSBT, 2015, we pray.
Reading: The moment of divine vengeance had come when Jesus entered the Garden of Gethsemane. The pent up fury of God's Justice struck Him. It struck Him to the earth. It overwhelmed Him as the mountainous seas of the tempest‑tossed ocean engulf an unfortunate vessel. The vials of God's wrath for the sins of the world fell upon Jesus as if He Who was sinless had been guilty and responsible for all sin. (MCM, p. 75)
