Missionary Cenacle Intentions: We dedicate today to honoring St. Vincent de Paul, the Apostle of Charity and the Father of the Vincentian Family of Apostolic Men and Women. Today we pray:
That St. Vincent guide us in our work with the poor and abandoned, we pray.
In thanksgiving for the Missionary Cenacle Family and for the many members who give their time, talent, and resources to further the many works of the Cenacle, we pray to the Lord.
That in response to the Gospel we may live simple lives as modeled by St. Vincent, we pray.
That the Missionary Cenacle be one in spirit with the whole Vincentian Family, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle Apostolate of Our Lady of Light, Trenton, NJ, we pray.
For the members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially our sick, we pray.
For the deceased members of the Missionary Cenacle, especially Fr. Linus Nickerson, ST, 1985; Sr. Agnes Fay, MSBT, 2008, we pray.
Reading: If I were to be asked what is the chief radiance of your vocation as a Missionary Servant of the Most (Holy or Most) Blessed Trinity, what is its glory, its excellence, I would not say camp work, club work, neighbor work or any branch or kind - I would say that I think these are secondary. I would say this: it is a confession of truth. To be witnesses to any truth is a wonderful thing. Every time we speak a truth we become a teacher. (MCM, p. 127)
